Family Services provides management and coordination for the following Children’s Medicaid Waivers for children birth to 18 years of age.
Children's Home and Community Based Services Waiver - C - HCBS
Children’s Home and Community-Based Services (C-HCBS) is a Medicaid Waiver Program designed to provide Medicaid benefits to children with disabilities or medical conditions who are at risk of hospitalization or nursing facility placement, and who would otherwise not be eligible for Medicaid due to parental income.
Children's Extensive Support Waiver - HCBS-CES
Children’s Extensive Support (CES) Waiver is intended to provide Medicaid benefits and additional targeted services and supports to children with developmental delays/disabilities who are at risk of hospitalization or nursing facility placement. To qualify for the CES Waiver, a child must be under 18 years of age and require constant line of sight supervision or attention due to significantly challenging behavior(s) and/or existing medical condition(s).
Children with Autism Waiver - HCBS - CWA
The Home and Community Based Services - Children with Autism Waiver (HCBS-CWA) is designed to provide funding for behavior therapies (including individual and group therapy) and for training and modeling for parents so that the therapies may be continued in the home. HCBS-CWA funds include a maximum of three years in the program and a maximum of $25,000 annually per qualified client. To qualify for HCBS-CWA, the child must be birth to six years and have a medical diagnosis of autism.
